On the first Saturday in May, I spent several hours studying and ruminating over a particular aphorism of the
Siva Sutras, a scripture of Kashmir Shaivism. The introduction to this aphorism states that the only way to become free of the shackles of our limited identity is to rest in Bhairava Consciousness. I completed my studies for the day with two questions uppermost in my mind: “What is Bhairava Consciousness?” and “How does one rest in that awareness?”
Two hours later, I participated in the Siddha Yoga Audio Satsang in Celebration of Baba Muktananda’s Birthday:
Illuminations of the Self. In offering his grace-filled teachings, Baba answered both of my questions and, in his compassion, guided me on how to put this understanding into practice.

It was such a gift to be able to focus completely on Baba’s teachings and be given time to integrate them. These are teachings I have heard for many decades. When I was serving in the Ashram with Baba, I was so focused on offering
seva and getting to all the
satsangs with him that there was not time to unpack the teachings he was giving us every day, day in and day out. We were living in the ocean of his grace. With this audio
satsang, I could savor Baba’s words, and my understanding went so much deeper.

I was originally planning to participate in this audio satsang on Baba’s solar birthday, but during meditation, I felt drawn to take participate earlier. I just couldn’t wait! Hearing Baba’s voice and listening to Gurumayi translate transport me back to the time I was able to spend with Baba in Shree Muktananda Ashram in 1981.
To be with Baba and Gurumayi feeds my heart endlessly. For some reason, I have at times been extremely fearful of life and events in the world. Yet, through following Baba’s teachings, that intense fear has gradually been replaced by a deep quietude. This process has transformed me.

There cannot be any better way to celebrate Baba Muktananda’s birthday than by celebrating it
with Baba Muktananda!
One thing I loved most about this audio
satsang is the way I was guided to reflect on Baba’s teachings. Listening to him is pure joy, and reflecting on his teachings is what keeps that joy alive for me.

I participated in this
satsang after a chaotic week. At the start of the
satsang, I was full of fear and worry. As I continued to participate in the
satsang, a deep sense of peace, grounding, and strength filled my being. I felt that I am always being held by the Siddhas and that I am, indeed, the Self that transcends my worldly worry. I felt one with everything. As this realization dawned on me, waves of peace and gratitude welled up inside of me.
I will continue to practice Baba’s teachings throughout Baba’s Birthday Month.

Participating in the Siddha Yoga Audio Satsang in Celebration of Baba Muktananda’s Birthday:
Illuminations of the Self, was a pivotal moment in my life. For the first time I had a direct experience of my unity with the Self and the entire cosmos. All enmity toward others dissolved, and waves of bliss entered my being; I felt a deep happiness. May I have the focus and strength to nurture and practice Baba’s teaching for the rest of my life!

This audio
satsang was filled with Baba’s wisdom and grace. As I listened to Baba’s words, I felt very enthusiastic about having the experiences he described. My heart became more and more grateful and peaceful. This
satsang was very powerful and supports me in more deeply understanding Siddha Yoga
sadhana.

What a sublime
satsang! Baba’s teachings are very powerful; his words and presence are full of
shakti. In this
satsang I have experienced connection with all of creation. I will apply the teachings I have received throughout the month and beyond. I feel that this
satsang helps me to strengthen my practice of Gurumayi’s Message for 2024.
