In Gurumayi’s Message this year, she tells us: “Become...diligent” and “Make...prayers.” In response, I have decided to recite the Morning and Evening Arati every morning to send blessings to the world for the purpose of preserving the dharma of the universe and returning to world peace.
At the conclusion of this practice every day, my mind is still, in silence, so I feel I am contributing to this longed-for peace.

My heart was dry before I sang the sacred Arati. Now my heart is moist with love and devotion for the Siddha Yoga path. What a blessing to be in the realm of such love!

I feel so happy when I sing this
arati. The familiar words and melody are a balm to me. I can see myself singing it in the Bhagavan Nitiyananda Temple for so many years—the Temple resounding with warmth and love. I can still feel it though I'm far away.

I love this Arati! It says everything I want to say to Bade Baba in the most concise, yet profound, way. Every time I sing it, my heart feels so much joy and gratitude.

This morning I decided to sing the
Arati with Gurumayi before meditation. My mind became still, calm, at peace. What a beautiful reminder of a single practice I can do every day to move beyond my “monkey mind” to a state of connectedness with the stillness within.
I’m so grateful to have this beautiful chant highlighted here on the Siddha Yoga path website during the month of Bade Baba's
Punyathiti.

Singing the Morning and Evening Arati is my one of my favorite practices. Just a few days ago, I had started singing it again after a long span of years. So it was a great surprise to find it on the Siddha Yoga path website today. My heart filled with gratitude and love for Gurumayi. Her love and blessings are the source of my life force.

It is really very nice to listen to the Morning and Evening Arati. I found myself wishing to listen again and again. The rhythm and music are so calm and profound. As I listen, my mind feels ecstasy and peace. I feel as if I were standing in front of Bade Baba in his Temple in Gurudev Siddha Peeth.
When I have offered
seva there, it was wonderful to attend the Arati. After singing the Arati, we used to take food with the vibrations of the Arati in our hearts.
Just one week ago, I suddenly resolved to listen to this Arati every day in the morning and evening, but I didn’t have a recording of it. Now it is available on the Siddha Yoga path website. This reminded me of how close my Guru is to me.

I am so grateful to offer my salutations and devotion to Bade Baba and sing the Morning and Evening
Arati with Gurumayi via CD this August. The silence just before the rumble of drums begins to rise, calls me into full presence.
I close my eyes in gratitude. I open my eyes and feel I am in the temple in front of Bade Baba’s golden
murti. Bade Baba’s beneficent smile radiates
shakti and grace. Singing the myriad verses and chapters of the
Arati, I attune my voice to Gurumayi’s voice. As I sing, listening deeply to Gurumayi draws me into the sounds within the sounds of her voice. Waves of pure love arise and tumble through the levels of my being and I am renewed again and again and again. Golden happiness shines in and around me.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for the precious gift of worshipping Bade Baba with you.

I love singing the Morning and Evening Arati. About a week ago, I spontaneously started singing it again. Although sometimes my voice is not strong, when I sing this Arati, it gets very strong. And I feel I am in the Temple in Gurudev Siddha Peeth in Ganeshpuri, with the joyous clamor of the clanging of the gong, the wind instruments, and the voices all proclaiming our deep gratitude to our venerable king of yogis, Bhagavan Nityananda.
Today, I feel this deep gratitude even more as I am chanting it. Thank you.

Before going off to work this morning, I had the inspiration to sing the
Arati. As I sang out loud and robustly, I was filled with a sense of happiness and joy and of the
shakti leaping and dancing within me. I felt awash in Bade Baba's presence, his love “imparting the gift of knowledge” and “eternal happiness.”
I experienced that remembrance of the Guru brings about the awareness of the Guru's state within.

What a wonderful surprise to find the
Evening Arati on the website today! Having Bhagavan Nityananda's
darshan took me back twenty-five years ago when I was blessed with singing the
Arati in the temple at Gurudev Siddha Peeth every day for more than a month.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for hearing my longing and making my path so blessed!

I heard the
Evening Arati for the first time when I met Baba Muktananda in Miami. I was mesmerized. Hearing the bass drum, listening to the conch, watching the waving of the
arati lights reminded me of all the most beautiful holidays rolled into one. The
Arati seemed so familiar, as though I had heard the sounds and the chant before. I began reciting the
Arati quietly under my breath, and I experienced that I
knew this chant! I chanted it from beginning to end! It filled my entire being.
Then, I looked up at Bade Baba's beautiful photo above Baba's chair. At that moment, I experienced a very deep connection with Bade Baba that has never wavered.
To this day, the
Evening Arati is a favorite. Every time I sing the
Evening Arati, I can recall that first experience as clearly as the day it occurred.
Thank you, Bade Baba, for your love, compassion, teachings, and light in my life.
