About Asha Richards

Asha Richards began her practice of the Siddha Yoga teachings in 1973. She was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path by her parents, who lived in Maharashtra, India. Asha visited Gurudev Siddha Peeth regularly as a young adult. In 1976, Asha offered seva as Baba Muktananda’s translator for his Teachings Visit to France, translating from Hindi to French during satsangs, darshans, and Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensives. In the years since, Asha has offered seva in the SYDA Foundation as a translator and writer, and she served on the Board of Directors of the Muktabodha Indological Research Institute from 2017 to 2022.
Asha worked as a journalist in India and is the author of a book on Indian popular culture. She lives in London with her husband; they have two sons and four grandchildren.
