About Kshama Ferrar

Kshama Ferrar was introduced to the teachings and practices of the Siddha Yoga path in 1974 while taking hatha yoga classes in New York City with a teacher who had recently met Baba Muktananda. From this point until the time of her passing in September of 2022, Kshama practiced the Siddha Yoga teachings. She offered seva as a staff member in the SYDA Foundation for forty-five years. Kshama served as editor or co-editor of more than twenty books published by the SYDA Foundation and was also a writer and editor for Darshan magazine.
Kshama received a master’s degree in literature from New York University and a master’s degree in sociology from Columbia University. Throughout her decades of offering seva, Kshama was a teacher and mentor to generations of Siddha Yogis, inspiring them with her warmth, clarity of expression, and knowledge of the Siddha Yoga teachings.
