About Sarita Baylin

Sarita Baylin was raised in Brooklyn, New York. She received Gurumayi’s Chidvilasananda’s darshan for the first time as an infant, when her parents brought her to Shree Muktananda Ashram. Sarita offers seva as a Siddha Yoga musician and as a writer and editor in the SYDA Foundation. From 2009 to 2011, Sarita served as a staff member in Shree Muktananda Ashram and a gurukula student in Gurudev Siddha Peeth.

Currently a preschool teacher in upstate New York, Sarita holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s in early childhood general and special education from Brooklyn College in New York. She lives in upstate New York with her wife, Theresa Perez. Sarita is innovative and conscientious, and she puts those close to her at ease by listening to them with an open mind and heart.
