Greetings from the Animal Kingdom

Some years ago during a Teachings Visit in Seattle, Washington, a seagull came to Gurumayi’s window every day and tapped a greeting on the window pane.

Wherever Gurumayi goes, she is greeted by members of the animal kingdom.

Sometimes it is a friendly dog that meets Gurumayi on one of her walks and thereafter returns daily—often with one or two doggy friends—waiting loyally for Gurumayi by her door.

In Sydney, Australia, during one of Gurumayi’s Teachings Visits, a sweet little cockatiel flew in the window one morning for breakfast. For the rest of Gurumayi’s stay in Sydney, the little bird lived at her house. He loved to sit on Gurumayi’s shoulder and sing for her.
