Just over eighteen months ago, I was fortunate to have Bhagavan Nityananda’s
darshan at his samadhi shrine in Ganeshpuri. At the time, I received flowers from the
pujari, and these flowers have been on my
puja every day since then. Because today was Bhagavan Nityananda’s Punyatithi, I had the strong desire to offer these flowers to the river.
My place of work is near the River Thames in central London, and so I took the opportunity to offer these flowers to the river. As I watched the flowers float away, I felt as though I was offering the difficulties in my life to Bhagavan Nityananda’s grace. Rather than worrying about how things will turn out, I had the feeling that I could be free from their outcomes. I also realized that letting go wasn’t just a one-time activity, but something I need to practice every day. I went back to my work light hearted and full of joy.
