Happy Holidays Gallery 2017

On the Siddha Yoga path, we revere light as an expression of the Divine. The Happy Holidays Gallery 2017 acknowledges the ways people and cultures around the globe celebrate light and express the universal qualities of peace, joy, and harmony at this time of year.

These depictions of light serve as a sweet reminder of humanity’s common purpose in such celebrations. Our own inner light shines through the myriad forms of expression and illumines the world. For Siddha Yogis, the celebration of light also represents the journey of sadhana and our ever-expanding awareness of this divine light that shines through all of creation.

The photo of Bade Baba sitting serenely in the Temple surrounded by blue light—while what looks to me like rain seems to bounce off the roof—gives me powerful reassurance that the Siddha Yoga Gurus provide a safe haven and a beacon of light in the inevitable storms of life.

Thank you, Gurumayi, Baba Muktananda, and Bade Baba for your constant guidance and love.

The light manifesting in the beaming smiles and wondrous expressions of holiday spirit radiates so beautifully in these images. The purity of a white snowfall sparkling with silence, or the frost illuminating the frozen leaves and flowers, makes my breath pause and takes me into the heart. The fire illuminates my memories of the completeness of 2017. Through the mystery of nature's infinite expressions, I experience the promise of what is yet to come in the new year ahead.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for these images, which evoke for me an image of our humanity connected by the light of love and peace, a gift I receive with gratitude and can always treasure.

These exquisite images of light captured in the celebration at Shree Muktananda Ashram reminded me that every object—both animate and inanimate—is full of light. I see light in people's faces, light shining from people's hands as they place decorations on the tree, and light in the sky, in the snow, and on the leaves of plants. After this, I could also appreciate more deeply the light within my own home!

I feel that I have received a beautiful invitation to remember to look for the light in all that exists.

Thank you, Gurumayi.
