Through this verse from
Shri Bhagavad Gita, I understand that a real offering is an act of worship which connects my human life to the divine. I should always consider what is relative or impermanent as a way to experience the Absolute. When I give a thought, a look, a word, an object to someone, when I am doing my daily activities, I can visualize myself—like a Brahmin priest making an offering to the sacred fire—pouring love into the heart of the other person.
Once the heart is kindled, each encounter becomes an occasion to revive the light of the heart, and then all the offerings become jewels of the heart.
