Dear readers,
Namaste! Saludos! こんにちは! Herzliche Grüße! Salut!
For Siddha Yogis, the full moon—that great, gleaming orb in the celestial realms above—is of incredible import. I say this because there are so many holidays we honor on the Siddha Yoga path that take place on the full moon. We celebrate Gurupurnima, Baba’s Birthday, Raksha Bandhan, Holi Purnima, and of course, Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi.
The full moon on October 2 in the year 1982 shone with a brightness that few had ever seen before on this earth. It was Baba’s moon, the heavens commemorating Baba’s merging with supreme Consciousness. I marvel at the fact that Baba took birth on this planet on Vaishakha Purnima, the full moon of May, and that he also departed from it on a nectarean full-moon night—the night of Sharad Purnima.
This year, because of the pandemic that has caused so much disruption in people’s day-to-day lives, the SYDA Foundation is not holding a global Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive.
When Gurumayi found out just a few days ago that the SYDA Foundation is not holding the Shaktipat Intensive, she requested that the title she had given earlier this year for the Shaktipat Intensive instead be designated for a satsang in celebration of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi.
Therefore, the title of this Siddha Yoga Celebration Satsang is:
