Dear readers,

Happy Thanksgiving!

One of the ways Gurumayi has requested that we celebrate Thanksgiving in Shree Muktananda Ashram is with a day in the Temple. As you know, when Gurumayi says something or does something, it’s never for just one person or one location. Therefore, during this year’s Thanksgiving holiday, we warmly invite you to participate in A Day in the Temple. Come and join us for this live video stream produced by the SYDA Foundation. You’ll have so much fun celebrating the day of gratitude with your Siddha Yoga family in the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall.

A Day in the Temple comprises many, many Siddha Yoga practices. The live video stream on Thanksgiving Day will begin at 5:30 in the morning with the recitation of Shri Guru Gita, and it will conclude in the evening, at 9:30 p.m. Throughout the day, whenever you find the time in between your get-togethers with family and friends—which may be taking place through digital means—do visit the Bhagavan Nityananda Temple. There will be darshan and manan, svadhyaya, namasankirtana, meditation, arati, puja, and more.

  • Date: Thursday, November 26, 2020
  • Time: 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (New York time, USA)
  • Location: Siddha Yoga Universal Hall (via the Siddha Yoga path website)

A Day in the Temple spans sixteen hours—sixteen for the sixteen phases of the moon described in the scriptures of India. However much time you are able to set aside to be in the Temple on this day—please know that it will be just right.

With appreciation,
