Today while meditating, I received clarity on a recurrent childhood experience that I had not been able to understand or explain to anyone. I would first experience the void, then the existence of the universe with planets and stars, then the awareness of time and my own existence, and then inner bliss would arise. When I meditated with the
dharana, I understood the presence of
sat,
chit, and
ananda during the elements of my childhood experience.

As I practiced the
dharana spoken so soothingly by Walker Jones, I was moved to tears of gratitude. I felt the blessings of
shaktipat, the Siddha Yoga path, and my Guru, which enable me to experience the words of this
dharana as reflecting my own inner heart space.

As I meditated following the
dharana, I felt pulled inside by the inner energy to meditate. There was a strong presence of energy pulsating in the region at the center of my eyebrows. My mind remained completely focused on it. In spite of the noise from construction work around the house, I was savoring deep silence. My breathing was still and steady, and I relished the beauty of the flower of golden light in my mind’s eye. Even after emerging from the deep state of meditation, the energy continued to be with me in the form of pulsating silence.
I am indeed grateful to have these daily
dharanas to deepen my meditation practice during beloved Baba’s Birthday Month.

I was deeply touched by this morning’s
dharana, seeing myself as a fragrant flower in the world. I practiced this throughout the day, as I was working with the children in my classroom. In my interactions I remembered the beautiful, fragrant blossom from my meditation. The students immediately reflected this back through their kindness, their creativity, and their joy of working together. I practiced with colleagues, too. It felt so good choosing to be a fragrant flower for the people I come in contact with. I want to hold onto this.
