This teaching has given me the life lesson that I should try to remain anchored in the Self, in both desired and undesired situations. It is helping me to understand that challenges are part and parcel of life, and they will keep happening. When they do, I just need to believe that everything happens for the best and stay calm.

I wondered what teaching would appear on May 16, Baba’s birthday and my birthday. This teaching of Baba gives me powerful guidance on the core issue that runs rampant in my mind and impacts my day-to-day state—the desire for stability and security and the question of “How is this all going to work out?”

With focus and effort, I will take the support of the dharana and practice adopting the steady posture of a mountain, foster the faith that things will work out, and keep my heart attuned to Shri Gurumayi.
