After reading this teaching of Baba and meditating, I was able to experience the pure “I,” which is nothing but the Self. Usually, I try to understand the pure “I” intellectually and through studying the scriptures,  but I can get caught up when my ego identifies the “I” with some of my transitory emotional, physical, or mental states.

However, when I listened to the dharana for this teaching and then meditated, I realized that I can experience the pure “I” not only during meditation but during my daily activities as well—by remaining attentive and developing witness consciousness.
