As I viewed these photos with their shimmering light, beautiful scenes of nature, and creative outlook, I began to feel myself becoming absorbed into the persistent beauty of the moon. I felt Baba’s presence in the moon, reminding me of his protection.

And then I remembered verse 70 of Shri Guru Gita, which affirms that the Guru “is Consciousness, which is eternal, peaceful, stainless, and transcends the sky.” I was filled with joy and contentment!

Yesterday I viewed all these beautiful photos. It was like walking from place to place all over the earth while always seeing the same thing—the same moon, the same light, the same gold.

Then I got ready to participate in the satsang in honor of Baba’s mahasamadhi. Before I began, I stopped to close the door and pull the curtain closed. Right at this moment the moon began to rise over the mountain before me. I was so overwhelmed by this beautiful light that I left the curtain a bit open so I could watch the satsang and the moon at the same time.

When I looked at all the Mahasamadhi Moon photographs from around the world, I immediately thought, “What a magnificent world!” So many creative photographs were offered in honor of Baba. And the photo from Barbados of the Shiva Nataraj statue, as if he were looking at the moon, is a beautiful convergence.

What amazing and creative photos! I could feel each photographer’s joy and love as they captured their photo.

During this time of the pandemic, when we cannot meet in person for satsang, I feel connected through these photos to Siddha Yogis from around the world. With each image I realize our unity, our divine “togetherness,” each one of us pursuing our sadhana—under Baba's moon!

Born in July, my astrological sign is Cancer, so I’m a “moon child.” Even before I knew that, I was always fascinated by the moon. It drew my attention whenever it was visible—and sometimes when it was not. The moon landings when I was fifteen were almost a spiritual experience for me.

So this slideshow of photos of the moon in Baba’s month takes me to a place where I feel a connection to the universe, to Baba, and to all the Siddhas. What can I feel but gratitude!

As I watched Baba's moon all over the world, my heart expanded. I felt Baba's love everywhere.

I started my day by chanting Shri Guru Gita. As the sun rose, it shone directly on Baba’s photo on my puja. I knew today would be a special “Baba Day.” The day was full of beautiful work in the garden, loving conversations, and fine food. In the evening, beautiful orange and yellow colors crowned the sky, and then I saw the Baba moon. A moment of quiet contentment filled me as I took the photo.

The photographs of the moon taken all over the world were so timely for me today.

I had not had a good day. I was facing a difficult situation. The moment I turned on my computer in the evening and viewed the pictures of the sweet moon, my mind became serene and peaceful. It was as if seeing the photos of the moon allowed me to see the situation with right understanding.
