I have never seen such a beautiful squirrel. It almost seemed like it was talking. Its eyes seemed beautifully expressive to me. My heart is filled with happiness after watching this video.

As I watched the summer video #25, the lovely raindrops falling onto the leaves and thirsty lake filled and quenched my heart, removing all worries and replacing them with peace and contentment.

The video #24 showing the summer forest reminded me that the music of summer includes the enchanting song of the cicada, just one of the many wonderful forms of God I can find in nature. When I remember this, then the song of the cicada becomes like God and Shri Guru singing their love and blessings to me.

I love the video of the butterfly—#12 in the summer series. As I watched the butterfly rhythmically flapping its wings, I thought about how this delicate creature had been a caterpillar before becoming a butterfly and becoming free to fly. Then I realized that I, too, before receiving
shaktipat initiation, had a different life. I, too, was a bound soul before experiencing more freedom in my life.

This morning when I saw this incredible video of the turtle swimming under water, I felt transported to a state of calm and tranquility. While enjoying this state, I was once again transported to the sacred Vajreshwari Temple in India very close to Gurudev Siddha Peeth. On the stairs of the Temple there is a turtle statue that I love very much.

Watching the turtle swimming underwater in the Spring video #26 is very calming and reminds me of meditation, when my mind rests in the Self.

For me, watching this tree swaying freely in the wind is watching the face of God. I am filled with the essence of the divine. I am deeply grateful to Gurumayi for inspiring me to experience God in nature.

As I viewed this exquisite video, I felt myself sitting by the lake, listening to the chirping of the birds and watching my thoughts. Thoughts subsided and others arose, but still, I was the witness of my thoughts. And I was peaceful and calm.

Today I discovered just how much I’ve learned from watching the Commune with Nature videos. Strolling near a magnificent lake on this sunny spring day, I suddenly started to pretend that I too was a Commune with Nature videographer, watching for small, exquisite glimpses into the divinity of Mother Nature.
The birds, calling in enchanting voices, made me raise my eyes to the treetops. There, a gallery of branching silhouettes stood out against the bright blue sky. A barely budding tree was bedecked with the tatters of last summer’s kites, a willow languidly waved her spring-green finery, and a stunning magnolia was all in bloom. Returning my gaze back to earth, I found delicate daffodils bending in the breeze, gulls strutting along the beach sands, and a dog frolicking in the still chilly waters of the lake.
It was pure delight to transform each glimpse into a brand-new way to appreciate the world around me!

I am inspired by this great blue heron, who I feel is at one with the natural world around it. I look closely and see that it moves only to its inner calling. I aspire to be like this beautiful bird, one with my inner Self, moving through my days to my inner calling.

Vignette 32 immediately brought to my mind inspiring words I’ve heard: “Dance as if no one is watching.” I felt the graceful exuberance of the deer’s dance across the snow-covered landscape exemplified exactly this kind of freedom. I remembered that nature and its numerous beings can move with a sense of rhythm and harmony that I can delight in and learn from.

I was drawn to “Commune with Nature” this evening and completely captivated by the stunning photography of the crescent moon over Bade Baba's temple in the Winter 31 video. Such beauty and sacredness! My heart stopped and I found myself high in the heavens with Lord Shiva, at one with all that is. I can't stop watching this video; for me it is the essence of Mahashivaratri and the perfect gift tonight!

After seeing these videos, I felt deeply connected to the love in my heart. It was so beautiful to hear the sounds of birds, rainfall, wind, and flowing water. Just a few minutes of listening gave me the feeling of being in nature with the vast energy of the
shakti within and without. I am thankful to Gurumayi ji for this beautiful experience of connection. I feel Gurumayi’s presence through these live videos of nature.

The way the rain fell on the icy needles in
Commune with Nature video 6 was especially entrancing for me. Then I was surprised when the ice fell off a branch and the unburdened branch sprang up. Inwardly I heard the message: “I am always showered with beauty; wake up!”

Immersing myself in these video vignettes of nature from Shree Muktananda Ashram, I feel grace is offering herself to me in each image and sound. The pandemic may be keeping me isolated, but with such an offering I am grateful right here and now.

I love the Commune with Nature videos. They often reveal a beautiful teaching to me. The melting ice and gurgling water in the Winter 8 video evoked an awakening in my heart. I felt rejuvenated by grace and love, and by the promise of springtime drawing near.

Viewing the winter video 8, I am reminded of the flow of love and joy beneath the icy crust of my concepts and judgments, and I begin to breathe, sending love throughout my body. I am grateful for this short and sweet meditation.

It’s such a blessing for me to behold the scenes of nature in Shree Muktananda Ashram. This brings me so much peace. I feel as if I am right there, breathing the fresh, sacred air of the Ashram grounds.

As I sit in silence watching the snow fall in this Commune with Nature winter video, I feel I’ve received a portal into pure Consciousness.

Viewing Commune with Nature 4, I’m inspired to find direction and comfort in the mystery and music of nature. All I need to do is tune in and keep my heart open. Then, like the melting of a frozen stream, so will love pour out of my heart and sing its song.

I think of the snowflakes as kisses from heaven that melt in the immense love of Bhagavan Nityananda. So sweet!

I think "Commune with Nature" is a beautiful teaching for me to start the new year with. I went to the Spanish translation since my first language is Spanish and it read, "
En comunión con la naturaleza." It brought me back to the beauty of my native language and the warmth of its sound.
I am at a crossroads in my life, and uncertain as to what direction to take. Nature and its cycles, as I view them here, remind me that falling leaves do not mean that the tree is dying. It is simply a season, a cycle, and in time, new green leaves will come back. Nature teaches us about change, renewal, motion, and most of all, about the beauty in all.
"Commune with Nature" is a great teaching and will be a sweet path for me to take in the days to come.
