I'm now sitting on a park bench waiting for an appointment. I've just gotten out of prison and a Siddha Yogi who offers seva for the Prison Project suggested this video to me. I am feeling profound gratitude. The moonrise aroused the same feeling of "I have come home" that I experienced when I read the very first lesson of the Siddha Yoga Home Study Course, In Search of the Self. The Heart is where home is, and I am so thankful for our Guru's guidance to that wonderful place.

Suddenly, time has become so still, and I am floating in pure quietude as I watch this magnetic video. In it I see the face of a beautiful woman, I sense the robes of my beloved Gurumayi, I can touch warm grace.
I am in awe at this precious gift. In an instant, so much love, and the sensation of being so close to my Guru.

This video of the Gurupurnima moon touched my heart. The moon looked so beautiful, golden, and tranquil! I connected to the silence and divine pulsation of Shree Muktananda Ashram.
At home on Gurupurnima, I didn’t see the moon because it was behind a high mountain. I prayed to Gurumayi to send me her light. The next day I saw a double rainbow with more vivid colors than usual. I experienced wonder and took it as answer to my prayer. And now I have received one more answer to my prayer: this beautiful video! I feel so much gratitude.

Perfection.
When pure love takes a form.
Gurupurnima, the perfect love of the Guru,
the perfect love of the disciple,
the perfect love of God.
Who is who in my heart?
I cannot say,
I feel nothing but love.

Today I made my way to the terrace at 4:30 in the early morning with the wish to have darshan of the Gurupurnima moon. It had rained all night and I hoped the clouds would part just a little while for an auspicious sighting.
Just as I reached the top of the stairs, I saw a heart-shaped, silvery light in the sky. It was a thin layer of cloud with the moon just behind it. Then the thicker clouds swept past very quickly, hiding the moon from view. I kept gazing at the spot in the sky, knowing that the full moon was right there. I imagined that the moisture-laden clouds were adorning the moon with a silken soft shawl. I stood there in the tadasana pose, holding this vision and having darshan of the resplendent moon with my inner eye.
Some hours later, when I saw the video “Moonrise on Gurupurnima,” my heart just felt so joyous. The outer moonrise was a perfect reflection of my inner vision.

My heart danced with joy as I watched this exquisite video of the moon rising on Gurupurnima. What an auspicious occasion this has been for us to celebrate our Guru! I’ve had such a reverent time during July, as I engaged with the postings on the Siddha Yoga path website for this beautiful Gurupurnima celebration honoring our Guru. The moon video just added to all I’ve received from my Guru.

While taking darshan of the moonrise on the Siddha Yoga path website, I felt that I was also receiving the darshan of Bade Baba ji, Baba ji, and Gurumayi ji. I am very grateful to have the Guru in my life.

As I watched the full moon rise, I was reminded of the glory within us all. I pray for this inner glory to also rise in our lives during these times.
