On May 3, while I was traveling in the USA with my husband and daughter, my father-in-law passed away in Argentina. We were very sad, and we also felt overwhelmed by the challenge of getting back to Argentina immediately. My daughter wisely reminded us that it was Baba’s lunar birthday, and how Baba's moon had accompanied us and shed its blessings throughout our trip. She suggested we take refuge in Baba and connect with Baba's moon within, breathing its soothing radiance in and out.
The shift was immediate; we felt infused with trust and peace. When we got to the airport, the airline kindly helped us to get the first flight back home. As a silvery full moon bade us goodbye in Portland, we sensed the Guru's reassuring presence. When we were about to land in Buenos Aires, the captain asked the passengers to watch the beautiful moon that was welcoming us. My heart smiled.
My father-in-law gracefully passed away on Baba’s lunar birthday, and I feel he was truly blessed.
Thank you, Baba.

Thank you so much for the beautiful Baba’s Moon Gallery. To look at the sky every day and watch the moon has become a spiritual practice for me. Through this, I have discovered a new relationship between myself and the moon.
Looking at the moon, I ask what message or experience it has for me. I talk to the moon. I share my feelings for the inner Guru with the moon. I love what happens to my own inner state when I am watching the moon. This has become a sweet practice.

It truly was an amazing experience for me to watch the different phases of the moon. It had a very calming effect on me. I could sense the presence of my Baba; and my heart, which had been troubled, became lighter.

I felt great peace when I saw this gallery of Baba’s Moon Photos. It was the peace I had experienced when I was offering
seva for a month in Gurudev Siddha Peeth, the peace I’ve experienced before the
murti of Bade Baba, in the
samadhi mandir of Baba Muktananda, or during chanting with Gurumayi.
Thank you so much, Shri Guru, for this beautiful experience.

On the evening of Baba's lunar birthday, I decided to go for a run. I was unaware it was Baba’s lunar birthday. As I was running around a lake near my home, my attention was caught by the immense moon that was before me in the sky. I stopped and stood there and repeated the mantra. My eyes shut automatically as I was drawn inside, and a feeling of great bliss and tranquility filled me.
During the second time around the lake, I sat and meditated before the moon. It was only the next day that I learned it had been Baba's lunar birthday.
Thank you, dear Baba, for guiding me once again to you. I bow before you and write a prayer with determination that I may I realize my heart as your heart.

Looking at the moon photos from all over the world, I am in awe of Baba's love, the same illuminating, protective love which shines and brings us all together. The moon which says to me, "No difference! No difference!"
Thank you so much, Baba.

I experience

As I view all the wonderful photos of Baba’s moon as seen around the world, feelings of trust fill my heart. Even though dark clouds might sometimes fill the sky, I know that Baba’s moon, a divine lighthouse in the sky, is always there, guiding me.
I am selling my house in a few months. Although I don’t yet know where I am moving, I am filled with peace and trust. Throughout the day, as I pack my belongings and let go of all unnecessary objects, I take a pause and view all the magnificent moon photos. I can feel Baba’s tender love caressing my heart, and I am then renewed and go on packing.
I feel as if I am filled with the trust of a very small child, holding Baba’s hand as he leads me along his path of light.
Thank you, Baba! Happy Birthday!

As I looked at the images in the Baba’s Moon Photos Gallery today and then, tonight, at the waxing moon in the sky, I was filled with joy and excitement:
Joy that, wherever we are in the world, and whatever our surroundings are like, we all see the same moon. And excitement that, as we all watch the moon growing in fullness each day, we are getting closer to celebrating Baba's birthday!

In the past year, I have become a great lover of the moon. The moon has become a source of peace that calms and supports me to arrive at good answers to my questions. I can feel the brightness of the moon inside my heart. Each evening, upon leaving work, I look up at the sky. For several days the moon was not turning up, and I missed it. Then I opened the Siddha Yoga path website and saw the beautiful pictures from across the world. Now, every day I visit the website to see the beautiful moon, and my heart feels so happy and smiles.

The crescent moon gives me a strong sensation that I am home, where I belong.

I love watching the moon grow to fullness! It inspires me to think of all the Siddha Yogis around the world who have been touched by Baba's grace, and who are contributing their time and artistry to capturing the image of the moon as it grows from a slender crescent to a brilliant pearl in the sky.
