I go to sleep listening to a recording of the mantra
Om Namah Shivaya and fall asleep very quickly. If I wake up in the middle of the night with unwanted thoughts, I focus again on listening to the mantra. The result is flawless. It’s like finding myself serene on a calm sea after a storm.
With the understanding that some of my thoughts are a force that directs my mind outward, I use the mantra throughout the day to redirect my mind inwards—into the stillness and serenity of my heart.

Today I woke up with a very restless mind and the emotion of worry. When I read Baba’s teaching, I knew what I could do today to calm my mind and thereby calm my emotions. I decided to repeat the mantra as often as I could, and what surprised me was how often I actually had the occasion and made the choice to repeat the mantra!
Now, at the end of the day, my mind is calm and I have had a harmonious, beautiful day, despite everything that could have upset me and taken me off center.
