Baba and Gurumayi have only spoken a few words directly to me over the years, and these few words have become mantras for me that constantly change and direct my life. When Baba handed me a mantra card, all he said to me was, "Repeat it.”The more I contemplate these words, the more I realize that they contain all the teachings I will ever need.&
In Shree Muktananda Ashram, Gurumayi asked me a question on two separate occasions. One time she said, "Are you leaving?" and another time Gurumayi said to me, "Where are you going?" At the time, these words seemed like casual conversation, but as time goes by, these words have become mantras for me that serve to check and direct my inner focus. Am I leaving the state of absorption in the Self? Am I going down the path of bliss and oneness, or a path of separateness and worldliness? It is truly amazing how profound even simple words from the Guru become as I contemplate them.
Thank you, Baba and Gurumayi, for coming into my life and nurturing me along the path to the Truth.

Each of these sutras contributes to expanding my appreciation of the completeness of the impact of the Guru on my life. I remember the joy, enthusiasm, and deep respect Baba expressed when speaking about each one.
As I contemplate, “The Guru’s every word is mantra,” I remember a handful of times when either Baba or Gurumayi spoke to me, usually in response to a question or something personal I was sharing. Each time, they communicated a simple, yet profound thought—a message I needed to hear—that has stayed with me over the years. From the moment of each utterance, the Guru’s words began their work of transforming my perception of myself, subtly changing my habitual responses to situations in my life, broadening my point of view, and opening my heart. Each utterance, just like a mantra, has protected and guided me. Each is gold.
What incredible gifts!
Thank you, Baba. Thank you, Gurumayi.

The Guru's word is mantra. When we repeat the mantra, our life is full of quietude, bliss, and happiness. In the same way, when we implement the Guru's word in our daily life, our life becomes full of nectar.
A single word from my beloved Guru transforms my life into sweetness.
