At first I was absorbed in the beauty, wonder, and qualities of the scene I was observing—the calming effect of the greenery, the solidity of the rocks, the cleanliness and pure essence of the water as the water continuously flowed like the Guru’s grace. It took me to a meditative state. Then I thought of the purity of that crystalline water and prayed that I may let go of any thoughts, illusions, old stories, or anything else that stops me from seeing the purity of my own being so that my mind can focus on my essential nature, the inner Guru, the Self.

To me there is something so free about the cascading water. Watching these videos reminds me of the power and freedom of the supreme Self that exists within everything, the power that can bring us to the realization of the Truth!

Yesterday morning I woke up feeling that I was immersed in what I would call "the stream of well-being." I felt that no matter what happened, I could remain in that place of deep contentment. The sense of being in the stream of well-being continued all day and all night, and into this morning. I was so grateful to have this support! I felt that this experience was a gift of the Guru's grace.
This morning, I opened "Waterfall Series: 2." As I watched the video, I felt an amplification of the same sense of well-being. I realized that the Guru is with me at all times in the form of "the stream of well-being" and that I can return to it with ease, again and again, throughout my day.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for your grace. Thank you to the sevites whose beautiful contributions make it possible for the teachings to come to us via the Siddha Yoga path website.

I had a beautiful day at the beach. In the morning, my wife and I paused by a small waterfall. We watched and listened as the water spilled over the edge of the falls and splashed down into the stream. Once on the beach, we watched the small waves washing smoothly over the sand, softly sounding "swoosh, swoosh." The sounds were calming, peaceful, and relaxing.
In the afternoon, we paddled a kayak out along the shore. Each successive ocean swell swept onto the rocks and ran off in a steady rhythm—splashing, bubbling, and swirling. I felt more and more tranquil. I felt my heart let go of tension and grow quiet, and I was grateful for the beauty and wonder of nature.
In the evening, we were delighted to find on the website Gurumayi's teaching on listening to the sound of water. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. And we are grateful to the Guru for the gift of love and contentment.

As I observed the waterfall, a spontaneous prayer arose within me: May the doors of my heart burst open allowing love and devotion to surge forth as freely and continuously as the water in this beautiful waterfall.

Oh, what a wonderful picture of the waterfall and the greenery around it!
When I started watching the video and listening to the sound, I felt it was like the Guru's grace flowing to all of us to sustain our lives. Since I am away from home, I also felt as if my Siddha Yoga family was rushing towards me, showering their love to welcome me.
As the video progressed and I observed the water tumbling down on the different levels, it reminded me of the path that I have traveled on my spiritual journey. And the journey of the water suggested that I have still to travel further to merge in the vast ocean of my beloved Guru's love. At the same time, the speed of the waterfall denoted the enthusiasm in my effort.
For me, it was a very positive indication that, however long it takes, I am sure to meet my goal.
Thank you, Gurumayi.

Sitting near the water has always been quietly fruitful for me. For many of my sixty years, I have gone to familiar places with water to feel a renewal that left me with more fullness—and a welcome emptiness—that I felt so deeply grateful for.
This morning, discovering this beautiful waterfall and Gurumayi's teaching returns me to that internal stillness. This waterfall is a wonderful blessing as I begin to meditate on this peaceful morning in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts. Today, I am blessed that I can seek water nearby—and I will go there with Gurumayi's teaching, these words that clarify the gift of water.
Thank you, Gurumayi.

By listening to the sound of the waterfall, I felt very cool, my mind became calm, and I was able to go deep within. I had the experience that I was in the midst of the waterfall, doing an abhishek ceremony to Lord Shiva, who is inside me as well as outside.
It was an amazing experience. Thank you so much, Gurumayi.

When I heard the sound of rushing water, renewal is what entered my mind. I sat in contemplation as I thought of all the vast bodies of water surrounding the world. My prana became even and the feeling of God's presence permeated my being. I remained in this peaceful stillness as the mantra resounded in my inbreath and in my outbreath. The flowing waters calmed me before I recited Shri Guru Gita.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for your teaching.

Water—it washes, cleanses, refreshes, enlivens, soothes. The waterfall reminds me of summers in the mountains, with my kids laughing and playing in nature. The sound is powerful and forceful, a phenomenon to respect, cherish, and become saturated with.
Thank you for the reminder of the mighty power within and without.

Thank you so much for continuing with the waterfall series.
This new one is such a beautiful waterfall, with such a beautiful sound—and it really does lead one into meditation. It reminds me of how the sounds of the tamboura take us deeper and deeper within.
