Chanting
Om Gurudev under the light of the full moon, I felt a cool, white lotus gently unfurling at the top of my head. I felt the moon, held in pale-golden clouds like silk, in my heart.
I chanted for a long time—to my Guru, to God, and with God. I felt so much gratitude for this experience of devotion.

I woke up without an alarm clock at 3 a.m. on Gurupurnima morning. I felt so awake! Looking through the window, I saw the magnificent golden disk shining in a dark blue sky. I felt it was the sweetest invitation from my Guru to come and sit for
darshan.
I brought my
asana and my shawl and sat on my balcony, bathing in the moonlight. I connected to the Siddha Yoga path website on my cellphone and chanted
Shri Guru Paduka Panchakam along with Gurumayi, and then,
Om Gurudev. After a while, I simply rested under the moonlight and meditated for a long and blessed time. At 5 a.m., I went back to sleep, feeling my entire being suffused with the Guru’s love.

As I listen to the chant, my heart opens and a delicious sensation moves through my chest. I feel like I am going home, to the familiar place of my heart center. My entire being has become silent.
As I am writing, a thunderstorm started outside after a very hot day. I see the lightning and hear the rain pouring down. I feel blessed.

I started chanting Om Gurudev while looking at the picture on the Siddha Yoga path website. It was wonderful! In the large cloud I could glimpse the face of a child in profile, with his clasped hands stretching out, and the moon watching over him, taking care of him.
For a long time I remained staring at that image in two colors: the pure white of the clouds and blue in all its shades. It gave me peace, comfort of the soul, and serenity.

The night is warm, and I am dancing and chanting
Om Gurudev to the full moon of Gurupurnima. I feel the Guru’s presence, and my heart melts into a pool of love for this path and for my Guru, who has taught me what love is really about.

On the evening of Gurupurnima, a few Siddha Yogis in my area got together to recite
Shri Guru Gita and then
Om Gurudev. Everyone was very focused, and I felt the energy in the big hall build up more and more. As we started chanting
Om Gurudev, suddenly the bells of the church nearby started ringing. Our chanting and the beautiful sound of the bells merged and gave the chanting an incredible grandeur and expansiveness. I felt like we were all swimming in an ocean of grace, and the bells were like waves of love.
Shubh Gurupurnima!

Having had a challenging day recently, I decided to take refuge in the Siddha Yoga path website. Alighting on this page, I spent some time absorbed in looking at the illustration. It captivated me. I imagined myself nestled in the clouds, taking in the rays of the moon as if sunbathing, only I was moon bathing.
Then I started the
namasankirtana, and Gurumayi’s voice soothed me even more. All that had happened during the day dissolved. It became history. It was gone. The sound of the
namasankirtana rose and fell and wrapped me in a cloak of peaceful contentment.

I love this
namasankirtana! Even just the first notes bring a huge smile to my face and light up my spirit. It fills me with such joy and contentment, confidence, and energy. Connecting my voice with this divine sound as I focus on the oneness of
Om, Guru, and my own Self gives me an expansive feeling.
My gratitude for Gurumayi’s guidance goes beyond words. Chanting is one way I can express that gratitude, and I receive so much joy in return.

A feeling of tremendous love and longing overflowed as I joined in with chanting
Om Gurudev on the Siddha Yoga path website. I experienced oneness with the melody. With each word, I reached out to Gurumayi with an open heart. Then I savored the silence that followed.

From participating in
satsangs with Gurumayi, I’ve learned the importance of bringing focus and intention to my chanting. So that’s what I endeavored to do when chanting
Om Gurudev during the month of July
.
I gave particular attention to the words of the
namasankirtana: their pronunciation and their meaning. As I did so, I realized that these words were reacquainting me with a deep need of my heart while simultaneously giving me the means to express it. “Yes,” I thought, as I chanted j
aya guru, jaya gurudev. “I want, more than anything, to extol my Guru, Gurumayi—to sing her praises endlessly, to express my profound gratitude for how her grace and teachings bring light to my life and to this world.”

This morning I woke up feeling quite out of sorts physically. I prayed to keep my joy. The answer I heard inwardly was to revel in my bliss.
A little later, I found
Om Gurudev on the Siddha Yoga path website. I started to chant and offered my voice to the Gurus. After a few minutes I was standing up and dancing! My whole body, quite out of sorts physically, was swaying to the soothing melody. It felt so healing!
As I chanted along, I experienced the power of Gurumayi’s love. And I prayed again: may I never forget to revel in my bliss, not only in chanting but in all my daily activities.

For me,
Om Gurudev is like a prayer invoking the grace of the Siddha Gurus. It is a particularly powerful experience! I will never stop listening to it and chanting it.

Whenever I chant
Om Gurudev, I start to see vibrations of the Guru wherever I look, and then I start to feel the vibrations within me. That’s when I know that the Guru is always within us.

I love chanting. It is one of my favorite practices as it provides me with a joyful experience and helps me glide into meditation with ease. As I sat to read about Gurupurnima today, one of my little cats came to sit beside me. She’s normally of a grumpy temperament, but when I started chanting
Om Gurudev, she softened into a blissful state, purring and butting her head against my hand as if saying, “Keep chanting.” The sweetness of the chant filled me and my two little cats with joy.

As I listen to the melody of this sweet, powerful
namasankirtana, my heart opens. The chant brings out the love in my heart for my Shri Gurudev, and I find myself relaxed in mind and body.
Then my love starts flowing automatically, and wherever I go, I feel the
shakti with me. I feel completely connected to my Sadguru, Shri Gurumayi, and I feel gratitude inside.
