About Sindhu Porter
Sindhu Porter began her Siddha Yoga practice after participating in a Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive in 1974. She served as leader of the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Portland, Oregon, for two years before becoming an SYDA Foundation staff member. For the next twenty-four years, Sindhu served on staff in both Gurudev Siddha Peeth and in Shree Muktananda Ashram, as well as on teaching tours.
Sindhu has offered seva in a number of areas, including photography, video, and Super 8 film, and as a member of the editorial staff of Darshan magazine. She was editor-in-chief for three books about Gurumayi’s global tours: Transformation, volumes 1 and 3, and We Have Met Before. Sindhu offers seva from home for the SYDA Foundation and is a member of the Advisory Team for the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Sarasota, Florida.
Sindhu studied literature, writing, and journalism at Emerson College and Boston University, both in Boston, and at Wells College in Aurora, New York. She is currently a book editor and website and marketing writer in Florida.
