Dear reader,
As we commence the winter holiday season, and the pace of your schedules is picking up, I want to take just a few moments of your time to express my gratitude for your willingness and enthusiasm to participate in the gatherings of Darshan and Manan: the Siddha Yoga Practices of Seeing and Contemplating.
Every seva I offer as an SYDA Foundation staff member has brought me to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Siddha Yoga teachings. And through the seva I’ve offered, I’ve been able to meet so many talented, dedicated, and devoted Siddha Yogis from all around the world. Each person has been a joy to work with.
Last month, I received the assignment to offer seva as the Managing Director of the Siddha Yoga gatherings of Darshan and Manan. I was so impressed with each speaker, teacher, musician, and technician who supported these gatherings, both from here in Shree Muktananda Ashram and from throughout the global Siddha Yoga sangham.
It is an honor to be able to offer seva that entails such great responsibility—to be entrusted to carry out Gurumayi’s mission in this way. I feel so fortunate that during this time of the pandemic, I have been able to do something concrete to be of service to humanity. And I feel so excited that I have many years ahead of me to continue to study and strengthen my understanding of the Siddha Yoga teachings—especially the six attributes of Bhagavan, which we contemplated during the gatherings of Darshan and Manan. Those attributes are
complete mastery,
righteousness,
glory,
abundance,
wisdom, and
detachment.
I am definitely going to keep learning more about these attributes, and I invite you to do so as well. As you know, the more you contemplate a teaching, the more your perception expands, and the more you become anchored in the core of your being.
Thank you once again for responding so enthusiastically to the invitation Gurumayi extended to you, which in turn gave me the amazing opportunity to be a Managing Director.
Since 2020 has been a year of increasing puzzlement from one day to the next, my wish for you this holiday season is that you find the piece—the right piece—that will solve your puzzle.
Sincerely,
Gauri Maurer
Managing Director, Siddha Yoga Gatherings of Darshan and Manan
SYDA Foundation
I am grateful to Gauri for such a wonderful wish for this holiday season! The “right piece” for me has been having the great gift of Gurumayi's Message for 2020:
Atma ki Prashanti, Peacefulness of the Self. This powerful Message has strengthened my ability to live from that place, and it is so, so sweet.

We have been receiving so much, and yet it is Gauri who is thanking
us!
This is so important for me to contemplate: the value of thanking when I am giving, and not just when I am receiving. I have so many more opportunities to be grateful!

I appreciate this focus of study on the six divine qualities of Bhagavan, especially at this time when the outer world is in a state of flux.
My husband and I both had the opportunity recently to practice two of these qualities in making a big decision. As we contemplated wisdom and detachment, we let go of a desire to travel that we had looked forward to. We were able to make our decision with confidence and clarity. We felt so easeful and light, joyful, and at peace!
I am so grateful for these beautiful, empowering, and uplifting
satsangs! They filled me with opportunities for transformation.

I felt I received access to so much wisdom from each of the talks in this amazing series of gatherings of
Darshan and Manan. And the beautiful piano playing made my heart soar.
I’m thankful to everyone who offered
seva in support of these gatherings and who made it possible to spend such precious moments in the glorious presence of Bhagavan Nityananda. I felt I was able to share the light and love I experienced with friends who have been stressed and afraid. This was life-affirming for me.
This series represents to me the bounty of blessings bestowed upon all of us by Gurumayi this year. I feel deeply fortunate to have the Guru’s blessings of light and protection as I navigate these times.

I am very grateful for the wonderful gift of the exquisite gatherings of
Darshan and Manan. They have helped me to discover, to put into words, and to contemplate the sacred attributes of Bhagavan. As a result, I believe that I now understand the nature of the Siddhas a little bit better—and I also feel closer to them!
I accept the invitation to keep learning about the magnificent attributes of Bhagavan.
