My most outstanding experience of practicing Gurumayi's Message has been with the
So’ham mantra. Throughout the year, I silently repeated the words of Gurumayi's Message at the beginning of my daily meditation. Then I would integrate the syllables of the
So’ham mantra with my inbreath and outbreath and observe the effortless mantra
japa.
The regular practice of meditating with the
So’ham mantra, supported by various features on the Siddha Yoga path website, has enabled my mind to turn inward amidst daily life and has brought deep rest and peace to my mind.

Studying, contemplating, and practicing Gurumayi's Message for 2019 has been truly transformative for me. I feel as if all my years of walking the Siddha Yoga path are coming into fruition, as more and more I experience being one with my own Self and perceive sublime energy in almost everyone and everything I encounter. This experience fills me with indescribable bliss.
I know that I still have a ways to go in seeing the Self in everyone. So I continue to work with Gurumayi’s Message, which is allowing me more and more to have the experience of oneness and the awareness of the great light within all of us and all creation.
My gratitude to Gurumayi, Baba, and Bade Baba is immense!

While driving home filled with bliss after participating in
Sweet Surprise 2019
, my husband and I began repeating the words of Gurumayi’s Message. We kept getting stuck on remembering the first word,
Draw. Then we said there must be a way to learn it, like an acronym. So we explored the first letter of the word that began each sentence—and we realized they spelled DARE. Aha! That was fun, uncovering a message within the Message.
The next morning while meditating, I sat and let the energy and teachings of Gurumayi’s Message flood in. I began to reflect on the word
dare: I could (1)
dare to activate the virtues in service of this Message, (2
) dare to study, practice, and imbibe this Message, and (3)
dare to become established in my identity with Consciousness.
Another discovery arose: each first word is an action word that can be linked to specific virtues. For example,
draw links to steadfastness, intentionality, faith;
allow to surrender, gentleness, compassion;
repeat to perseverance, stamina, determination; and
enjoy to receptivity, love, gratefulness.
Fantastic blessings for the new year!

Reflecting, remembering, and practicing Gurumayi's Message for 2019 has made me more alert to the behavior of my mind. When I return to the exercises that Gurumayi taught us in her Message for recognizing the attitudes of the positive mind and the negative mind, I can actively take my mind to the abode where the divine virtues flourish. When I come into contact with this awareness, it is at that very moment that I begin to experience the divine luminosity of the mind.
I am very grateful to Gurumayi for her Message.

My study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2019 is manifesting unexpected insights and experiences. Yesterday, I looked in the mirror and knew with absolute certainty that I was not the form reflected in the mirror. Perhaps it’s more accurate to say that I did not identify as the form reflected in the mirror. I felt that I was not looking at a reflection of myself, but rather I was the one simply looking, the one behind the eyes seeing the reflection.
To be honest, it felt a little odd, but in a good way—it felt freeing and wonderfully impersonal. I looked at the reflection with deep compassion, without judgment, and saw the image with much more gentleness than I have in the past.
This is all so fascinating! I have complete faith that the Guru’s grace is behind what is occurring, and I will continue being open to wherever grace leads me. And I am so thankful for Gurumayi’s grace, which accompanies me at every step of this incredible journey.

I am in awe of and immensely grateful for Gurumayi’s teachings. The concept of time changed for me this morning in meditation. As I was trying to focus my mind on the sacred mantra
Hamsa, I felt a deep sense of urgency inside. All of the stressors of my life stood before me. As I watched the cloud of that tense energy, I felt myself being drawn into a dark tunnel—warm, sweet, protective. At the far end of the tunnel was a light. On seeing this light, I felt totally protected and at ease, and I felt I had all the time in the world. I wanted only to focus on the moment of absolute well-being, protection, and love. Time did not exist for me in that moment.

I am so excited by my experience of the magic and power of Gurumayi's Message for 2019. I have been noticing that when I repeat the Message consciously, I invariably resolve a challenge, increase my joy, expand my creativity, and deepen my insight into myself and others. This is a jewel!

Today, listening for the second time to Gurumayi’s Message for 2019, I realized that my mind is happy when it is given consent to focus, to engage in a task—in that moment I am in the present. This blissful feeling of being in the present is when my mind is in its essence.

My contemplation this week concentrated on the first line of Gurumayi's Message. With happy delight, I experienced that in order to be the one leading my mind to its source, I had to already be focused in the center of my being. Although it could seem to me that I am outside this place of elixir, I know that when I focus in this way, I never am. The moment I had this realization—in the midst of my everyday activities—I jumped for joy!
