As I read Gurumayi’s poem, I felt as if it were being whispered to me. I felt that each word and each sentence have been delicately chosen and strung together like precious gems into this sumptuous Deepavali necklace.
I will take Gurumayi’s words into my heart, letting them guide me in any encounter, revelation, and intuition.
I am so grateful for this tangible Deepavali gift.

What stood out for me the most in this beautiful poem was the reminder that the seeking of peace, happiness, and easefulness resides within my own heart. I see that if I hold a positive attitude with equipoise, life’s challenges can also be seen as opportunities.

This is my favorite poem ever! It is such a sweet and benevolent gift of love! I feel nestled in my own “
shanti-kutir,” my own “cottage of peace,” as I listen to, contemplate, absorb, and practice Gurumayi’s blessings and teachings.
I waited patiently and expectantly for the English translation to arrive. I have found that sometimes waiting for something great makes it even greater when it finally arrives. Now today, the added joy of hearing the poem recited made it spring into splendor within my mind and heart. And as I gazed at the etheric temple artwork, Gurumayi’s words came alive for me in a visual panoramic feast that held me spellbound!
At the end of the poem, I spontaneously raised my hands in the air to receive all of Gurumayi’s blessings. It felt as if the heavens were bestowing their softest rain on me. When the poem was over, I heard myself whisper “wow…” in total wonder and gratitude.

As I opened Gurumayi’s Deepavali poem, I breathed in the “swirling scent of the shimmering stars,” and my being filled with countless blessings. For me, every word in this poem is Mahalakshmi, the energy of abundance and prosperity.
These blessings make a huge difference in my life. I am joyfully inspired to make it a practice now to bless everything and everyone from my whole heart.

Ever since reading Gurumayi’s wishes for us for Deepavali, I’ve been beaming!
Though I’ve never before celebrated Deepavali in a grand way, I felt myself transported to a great
puja in the worldwide
sangham and experienced the magic of the holiday in a completely new way.

The words of this beautiful poem rumble through me like a gigantic wave of great promise! I feel it will support me in times when my mind creates obstacles and obscures my experience of light and love.
Reading Gurumayi’s words inspires me to answer her call with devotion, to hold and refresh my intention every day.
I feel so blessed! My heart is aflame like a lamp for Deepavali.

I am riveted by this poem, and there is so much about it (which is to say,
all of it) that I wish to look at more closely, to study further.
Upon my first reading, one of the things I was struck by was the description, early on in the poem, of what it’s like to fall in love—how, when you fall in love, everything lights up within you. I found it to be such a useful, evocative, and immediately recognizable example of what it’s like to experience your own inner wealth.
To me, this example is so representative of what and how Gurumayi teaches—namely, that we can consider some of the most quintessentially
human experiences to be indicative of the divinity within us. Love of God, love of the Self doesn’t have to be this abstract or austere or grandiose thing; it’s something that can and does exist in our genuine love for another person. Because if we really love them, then we are probably seeing God in them!

Ever since the
mahaprasad of Shri Gurumayi's poem appeared on the Siddha Yoga path website, I have been listening to it. This poem exudes the scent of Shri Lakshmi’s infinite blessings and sacred footprints.
On Dhanteras, after completing
puja for Shri Mahalakshmi, my husband and I sat in silence and listened to this precious gift from Gurumayi. I sensed Gurumayi’s presence in each prayer item that we offered during the
puja. Her blessings were evident!
According to Gurumayi’s poem, the power of togetherness, understanding, love, and compassion is a big part of what celebrating Deepavali means. For me, this poem is brimming with elevated wisdom and teachings imbued with tremendous knowledge.

As I read the
prasad that Gurumayi has given to us, through every perfectly selected word in this exquisite honoring of the goddess Mahalakshmi, I connected with the presence of the Divine as being “here”—right where I am. In reading this celebration of the goddess Mahalakshmi and Gurumayi’s description of her qualities, I felt them appearing within me, opening up like petals unfolding in a lotus flower.
During my day I brought my attention to the experience I had had reading Gurumayi’s poem. I had the realization that I am, in fact, an embodiment of the loving, kind, generous qualities of the Guru and of Mahalakshmi and I knew my whole reason for being is to share the fragrance of my own heart. I had a beautiful day.
My intention is to remain aware that I am the embodiment of the light of the Guru's love and to live with this awareness so I can share it wherever I am.

I recite the
Mahalakshami Stotram every morning after my daily practice of meditation. My heart burst open as Gurumayi ji described how one may receive the
darshan of Shri Mahalakshmi. In that moment I visualized Shri Devi standing at my front door, emanating golden light, which surrounded me and illuminated my home.
I offer
pranam to Gurumayi ji in gratitude for the gift of this
darshan through this very sweet poem. I also received the true understanding of the magnificent light I hold in my heart, that should be used to shine brightly for others and myself in order to rejuvenate faith in love, which is God.

Over the past few days I have been captivated by the image accompanying Gurumayi’s poem for Deepavali. Today I read the poem in English and realized that I had discovered so much of its love and joy through the exquisite artwork. Even before I understood Gurumayi’s words, I had recognized the elements of Deepavali.
What a beautiful setting! I had entered this world with its star-strewn sky, its mountain range brought alive with the night sky and the delicate temple with its vibrant flames. I could almost feel the softness of the carpet leading up to it, and I imagined the small flames of the diya lamps flickering. I am in a place of stillness and contentment. I am part of Deepavali, as Gurumayi’s poem dances in my heart.

I sat to meditate this morning and, before starting, was drawn to visit the Siddha Yoga path website, where I read these sanctified words. Aaaaah, such sweetness fills me; how utterly sublime! My being resounds with gratitude for the many blessings I have received from the goddess Lakshmi.
My meditation and day will be filled with this experience as I continue to revel in the blessings in Gurumayi’s words.

As I read these luminous words during Deepavali, they seem to shower my being with an abundance of light, joy, and wonder. Once again, Gurumayi has illuminated my mind and heart and redirected my awareness toward the ultimate beauty and bounty that makes up this wondrous universe.

Every time I read this exquisite, love-filled poem, my heart expands to receive more and to give more. I felt that each word of the poem is speaking to me and inviting me to experience the spirit of this festival.
The poem has opened my eyes to perceive this festival of light, joy, and sweetness with ever more wonder, more beauty, and even more appreciation. I am inspired to share my happiness with my community and to celebrate it by honoring the presence of light within me and around me.

As I received Gurumayi’s gift, I tried to find the nuggets of wisdom and the teachings it conveys. The beautiful opening illustration showed me the dawn that rises under the curtain of a starry sky behind the dark silhouette of a mountain range. As Shiva’s blessings were falling to the earth from the
bilva leaves, I discovered the snowy scene of pure silence on which the temple of the Self was shining.
I listened with pleasure to the Hindi words of Gurumayi’s poem, some of which I recognized. Then, with the spirit of Deepavali, which is imbued with goodness and prosperity, I entered the temple where the fire of the Guru’s love spreads light, bliss and sweetness upon the world.
At the end, like the parakeet and cardinal, I perched on the apple tree of love, savoring the fruits of the Guru’s gift.

My day here in India began auspiciously by tasting this delicious
mahaprasad. Each word of Gurumayi’s poem brought about a cleansing in my entire being. As Gurumayi indicated, I do need to pay attention to my “inner and outer company.”
I am so happy to start my Deepavali with such exuberant
mahaprasad from Shri Gurumayi. I am sure that not just my celebration of Deepavali but my entire life is going to be filled with “light, joy, and sweetness.” The image of offering ghee to the fire was an extraordinary one for me, evoking the longing for the inner fire, which is what I need most at this moment in my
sadhana.

With so much going on in the world and in our lives, I had not yet been feeling the spirit of Deepavali. But after reading Gurumayi’s poem, I am filled with love, gratitude, and excitement, as well as enthusiasm for giving and sharing, and energy to celebrate Deepavali.
This poem is studded with gems of the Guru’s teachings. It is sparkling with the Guru’s love and infused with the Guru’s blessings. This poem is the true embodiment of the spirit of Deepavali. I feel so fortunate to have received Gurumayi’s love and guidance in this form.

The image of the sacred fire that accompanies Gurumayi’s poem for Deepavali 2022 is exquisite. Both the image and listening to the melodic reading of the poem are like a light balm drenching my soul. I feel the love of the Guru in every syllable of the Hindi recording, even though I do not speak that language. However, I recognize some key words that stand out for me, including Deepavali, Mahalakshmi,
darshan,
shanti, and
mahaprasad. The entire experience is nectarean.
As I opened to the experience, I became aware of receiving on a different level than I am used to, which opened me to something greater. What a divine blessing!
