Falling snow,
whispering,
as I relish,
rest,
renew.

I found the Autumn video, number 46, enchanting, and I watched it again and again. There was so much natural delicacy in the thin film of ice over the lake, forming and reforming into beautiful geometric designs. I loved hearing the bird sounds, assertively inserting themselves into the otherwise very silent, snowy landscape. The gentle, rhythmic movement of the water beneath the film of ice reminded me of the soft rhythms visible in the chest of a sleeping baby.
The pairs of opposites represented here were a helpful reminder to me of one way that "nature exemplifies its connectivity with the rest of the universe." And so, amidst the silence of the landscape, a bird cries out. Amidst the chill of approaching winter, the reflection of the sun reminds us of its faithful, life-preserving warmth. And all the while, the
prana shakti continues to pulse between stillness and movement.
I am grateful to have had this chance to "commune with nature" through this video.

I watched the leaf flow with such steadfastness through the ripples in the water, through the reflections of patterns in autumnal colors. This moving image provided a metaphor for me about my
sadhana. I too, can move with the flow of the world with steadfastness while remaining focused on the unchanging Self.

Watching these vignettes is such a wonderful gift—I feel showered with grace as I watch each one. I so loved seeing the full moon rising as I listened to my favorite chant!
Thank you, Gurumayi.

These videos have shown me the joy of simply noticing the world around me. For me, they are a great antidote to the fast-paced modern world. In simply learning to pause, and watch the simple wonders of life, I find that my mind stills and meditation happens naturally.

Lately, when my mind starts churning over something, I bring to mind one of these beautiful video vignettes. Like visual mantras, they help quiet my mind and restore my equipoise.

Thank you for these videos—they are like small vacations. Watching them, I pause, breathe, and connect with the sounds, images, and movements. There are beautiful creatures and places I rarely get to see in person, reminders of the infinite variety of nature.
Thank you again, a million times.

I decided to go for a walk in nature after an emotional day. As I felt my connection to everything around me and inside of me, more and more I let go of those emotions. I had to hug some trees—I felt so much love. When I got back home, I went to the Siddha Yoga path website as I do almost every day. I found this gallery, which referred me back to my experience in nature and showed me how things are connected around me. This makes me so happy.

The waves of water in this video become waves of
shakti, leaving their banks and flowing into me. A gentle
pranayama begins, and then, full cleansing breaths fill my chest. I go into meditation, and then to sleep. Awake now, I still feel
shakti moving within me. I do my work with a feeling of peace and love.
I’m grateful for this loving, gentle, yet powerful experience that I will continue to contemplate.

When I connected with the Siddha Yoga path website today, I was delighted to find such a handsome cardinal! He appeared at first to be solitary and yet, as I listened, I realized he was chirping in community with other cardinals.
He reminded me that I am always in community with other Siddha Yoga students and seekers. He warmed my heart today!

Listening here to the sound of water and chirping birds fills me with joy. I can't stop smiling. I find myself in a deep, meditative state.
Thank you, Gurumayi!

As I watch the constant flow of waves slowly melt the winter ice over the lake, assisted by the warmth of the sun, my heart rejoices. The scene reminds me of the Siddha Yoga teaching on the importance of effort and grace—the steady effort of the waves and the grace of the sun will soon melt all the ice and usher in spring. Similarly, my effort to practice Gurumayi’s Message in my own way—by inhaling consciously, filling my being with energy, and exhaling gratitude—will invite grace. That grace will, in turn, strengthen my remembrance to put forth steady effort.

Looking and listening to these vignettes nourishes my love for nature. As I immerse myself in the videos, I forget I live in a city for a while and feel I am walking through nature’s cathedral.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for making this inspiring experience available.

What a delight to view these five Commune with Nature videos on the Siddha Yoga path website this morning. They do help me understand “how Kundalini Shakti moves within nature”—in the rising glory of the sun every day, the flowing of a river, the light moving like molten gold on water, the howling of snow and wind. And I realize how Kundalini Shakti is always dancing within me too, in all sorts of ways, bringing me closer to being established in the realization of my perfection.
I am grateful for what I learn through image and sound.

The golden glow of light upon the water is exquisite. To me it looks like liquid gold, undulating gently, and my mind marvels at its sheer and simple beauty.
In the same way, the light of Gurumayi's teachings transmutes my mundane life and elevates me onto a golden path of study.

This video is such a beautiful dance of images! The scintillating golden sunshine on the flowing water reminds me of Shakti, always dancing, forever in motion. As I watched it, I felt joy in my heart and a smile on my face. It's like the light that Gurumayi speaks of in her Message for 2017, and I want to delight in it again and again!
