In the midst of doing hatha yoga outside, I looked up at the sky and saw a heart in the clouds. I had a camera with me, so I took a picture. When I looked closely at the picture, I saw that a dove—the symbol of peace—was rising from within the heart-shaped cloud. I immediately remembered Gurumayi’s Message for 2020, and felt this was a message from nature, showing me how peace rises from the heart.

The beautiful white cloud in the shape of a heart touched me so deeply and lit my face with an ear-to-ear smile! It was a wonderful gift of love for my birthday, which is today!

While studying about
anahata, the unstruck sound in the heart chakra, I made a drawing depicting, for me,
anahata in an everyday life situation. My drawing showed hearts everywhere—surrounding me, scattered in the air and on the ground beneath me.
Several days later, I went on my first backpacking trip with friends, and as I hiked through the gorgeous, pristine landscape, I noticed heart-shaped rocks underfoot all over the place. There were so many I lost count! I even saw a heart-shaped rock submerged under water, shining in the sun, just inches away from where I was washing dishes.
Gurumayi’s teachings came to life in such a powerful and unforgettable way!

Looking at "Hearts in Nature" on the Siddha Yoga path website has made me more open to enjoying the cloud shapes in the sky. To me they are reminders that love surrounds me always. In the morning when I am exercising in the sea and do exercises lying on my back, it gives me such a wonderful opportunity to look at all the shapes. Yesterday I was able to see many heart shapes. I feel so blessed!

I was out walking today, feeling out-of-sorts about the Covid-19 situation and what I have to give up. Then I thought about all the sacrifices Earth has made for thousands of years to sustain human life, and there arose within me a willingness to do my part to support the Earth. Just then, I looked up and saw a beautiful, perfect cloud in the shape of a heart.

I was in awe when I walked outside and saw a heart made of light right before me. I have lived in this apartment for 2 years, and never have I seen the sun reflecting from the windows up above. I walked over to the heart to make sure it was real. I felt so blessed by this experience. I never could have imagined this happening.

I am grateful for the Hearts in Nature gallery. Inspired by this gallery, I started my own digital file of the hearts I see around me. Through this practice, my eyes and heart have become much more attuned to this expression of love. One of my recent favorites is an image of my cat’s heart-shaped black nose.

As I took in and studied each of these beautiful scenes of hearts in nature, I became immersed in a state of calm and serenity.
