About Gita Sen

Gita began following the Siddha Yoga path in 1984 after participating in a satsang at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Manhattan. She serves as a Siddha Yoga meditation teacher for Pilgrimage to the Heart retreats and Muktananda Dhyana Saptahs. Gita served as a Trustee for PRASAD Chikitsa from 2003 to 2005. She also offered seva as a member of the steering committee for the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Bangalore, India.

Gita holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Delhi and a PhD in economics from Stanford University. She is the director of a research center for public health in Bangalore, and an adjunct professor of global health and population at Harvard University. Gita currently lives in Bangalore with her husband.

About Ashish Vyas

Ashish began practicing the Siddha Yoga teachings in 1995 at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Indore, Madhyapradesh, India. He currently offers seva full-time as an executive manager of Chitshakti Trust, the Siddha Yoga Bookstore in India, located in Thane, Maharashtra, India. He also offers seva as the Finance Coordinator and as a musician at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Thane.

Professionally, Ashish has worked in the field of business management. He earned a bachelor of science in electronics and a master’s degree in computers and management from Devi Ahilya University in Indore. Ashish lives in Thane with his wife and son.

During meditation I experienced the flame of the heart as deeply peaceful, nourishing, and rejuvenating. It seemed both subtle and tangible. I felt I was in contact with eternity and that I had experienced the inner place where I can be established in unending joy. As I listened to this Meditation Session from Gurudev Siddha Peeth, I remembered the Shiva temple in the garden, and I began to experience myself meditating there in the monsoon. I felt such ecstatic happiness that I wanted to leap for joy.

Even though I participated in this session in my own living room in California, I fully felt the shakti from Gurudev Siddha Peeth entering my space. I was there. I saw myself walking through the gardens. I was drawn deep inside.
 
During the meditation, I was connected to my inner core. I realized that no matter what happens on the outside, the unwavering flame is always there. This realization gives me strength.

As I focused on the unwavering flame in the heart, I became aware that this flame was pure, it was untouched by all that I had experienced in my life, including birth and childhood, and all the ups and downs. The light of this flame filled my being. I was one with that light. My mind became still. Then the light dissolved as my mind expanded out to pure being. I became one with all that is.
 
This felt like the ultimate vacation. Restful. Peaceful. Full of joy.
