I have been contemplating the third line of Gurumayi’s Message for 2026 all year long, and especially this week. I thought I understood its meaning for me. Then, a few nights ago, while lying half-asleep in bed in the middle of the night, I suddenly heard these words inwardly: “You should do something nice for someone.”
I immediately recognized the words as being from a story I heard many years ago of someone coming before Gurumayi during darshan and lamenting about something that was happening in their life. Gurumayi replied that the person should do something nice for someone.
Lying in bed, I recalled how, when I do something nice for someone, I feel connected to that person and my heart opens; regardless of how I am feeling in that moment or what I am thinking, I am uplifted and refreshed.
Now, I understand that for me, performing acts of kindness is a way to practice Gurumayi’s teaching “Recharge! Nourish your heart.”

I am very literal and have been thinking that “nourish your heart” essentially meant being loving and kind to myself. Yesterday, while reciting Shri Guru Gita for the first time in a few months, I remembered Bade Baba’s teaching, “The heart is the hub of all sacred places. Go there and roam.”
I realized that reciting Shri Guru Gita is nourishing as well as uplifting for me. It is a powerful way in which I remember, honor, and connect with the Self. It is my superhighway to “recharging”! It was a moment of fabulous understanding.

Being in nature always “nourishes my heart.” It recharges the light I feel I have been given. This light, this shimmering light, is always with me.
I could not help but stare into the golden glimmering background for the third line in “Assimilating Gurumayi’s Message for 2026.” I could not take my eyes off it, and now I know why!
When I closed my eyes and began my meditation this morning, there it was: the golden, shimmering light, the backdrop of my meditations.
In my experience, Gurumayi always speaks to my heart—it is with her grace that I “recharge.” I am forever grateful.

As I reflect on the year, I find that mantra japa has greatly helped me “nourish my heart.” The mantra feels like it is “recharging” my breath and infusing my being. My mind calms down, and I give myself time to relish this feeling of being nourished.
As I engaged with the practice of mantra japa during the year, I found a difference in my engagement with this practice. Earlier, there used to be times when the repetition of the mantra would go on mechanically and my mind would drift to various thoughts.
As I continue to focus on this practice, I now see that my mind finds rest when I pay attention or when I inwardly listen to my own repetition. That is when I feel nectar releasing from the syllables of the mantra, and I have the experience of being “recharged” and my heart “nourished.”

“Recharge! Nourish your heart.” This line of Gurumayi’s Message found me while I was recovering from a respiratory illness. I felt depleted and tired, yet I longed to “nourish my heart.”
I stepped out into my garden one morning and was amazed to see a huge white blossom on a tree that had never bloomed in twenty-six years. That beauty and sense of wonder gave me a clue about how to “recharge” my heart.
A second experience occurred when I was preparing to sing Shri Mahalakshmi Stotram. Initially I thought I would only listen, as I felt unable to sing. Yet, as the introduction to this wonderful hymn began, the verses started to sing themselves through my voice—as if the hymn had a voice of its own. It filled me with awe and joy, for it was a voice distinct from my own, and it was brimming with shakti!
By the final verses, I realized it was indeed my own voice, singing with enthusiasm. The Guru’s grace accompanied and supported me in my sincere longing to “nourish my heart.”

Oh, yes! The perfect teaching for me: “Recharge! Nourish your heart.”
First for me is breathing.
Inhaling love, exhaling exhaustion.
Then, inhaling pure air, filled with contentment, with gratitude, and exhaling the same.
Feeling good again, I listen to the music of my precious heart:
tam-tam, I love, tam-tam, I am.
And only good remains.

Recently I had the good fortune to stay in a Siddha Yoga Ashram over a long weekend, and to chant, meditate, offer seva, and have satsang with other Siddha Yoga students. It was a sublime way to “nourish my heart” through good company and uplifting practices.
Toward the end of my time there, I saw in meditation a great field of shining, beautiful flame throughout the space and throughout my being. Contemplating this golden, living flame, I understand that the shakti within me is revealed and “recharged” when I am open to enjoying the blessings of this path. As many times as I turn inside with surrender and wonder, grace unfolds in unstinting abundance.

Studying Gurumayi’s Message for 2026 has created powerful paradigm shifts within me. Contemplation of every line of the Message has brought me back to taking refuge in the Self. Every practice and every contemplation have brought me back to focusing on pure awareness—realizing I am that awareness.
Being grateful to Gurumayi for revealing the Truth of who I am “nourishes my heart.”
Listening to the music posted on the Siddha Yoga path website and studying what Gurumayi teaches through her music “nourish my heart.”
Becoming disengaged from my mind and watching my reactions, rather than identifying with them, “nourish my heart.”
Taking refuge in the teachings and scriptural texts of the Siddha Yoga path and reaping the fruits of what they reveal “nourish my heart.”
The experience of living as the changeless in this changing body with a mind that continually fluctuates—this “nourishes my heart.”
This practice of assimilation is so powerful!

By lighting a flame on my puja altar every morning, and making the intention to be full of Goddess Lakshmi’s light, I have “nourished my heart.”
I was feeling a contrast between the vigor of the word Recharge and the gentleness I associate with the words Nourish your heart. But now I remember the gentleness and tenderness I feel after taking part in Shaktipat Intensives, and I know that to “recharge” is to be close to the grace that ignites the flame in my heart.
I also realize how this third line of Gurumayi’s Message leads me to the last line, and that each line of the entire Message can serve as my intention for this world.

On the day I began to focus on assimilating the third line of Gurumayi’s Message, “Recharge! Nourish your heart,” I was waving my arati tray to Bade Baba’s murti on my puja altar. A prayer came up within me: “May I offer arati with a pure heart.”
With this prayer something inside me released, relaxed. The prayer felt like an answer to how to truly offer myself to this practice. Then I began to see ties between the flame on the arati tray, the flame in my heart, and Gurumayi’s instruction to nourish my heart. I see that by wanting to offer pure love, I am naturally “nourishing my heart.”

I believe that every cell in my body carries the memory of a lifetime of both good and bad experiences. To heal, I have learned the power of the pause. I stop, contemplate, feel the emotion fully, and then release it. In that empty space, I “recharge.” Through intentions, mantras, and meditation, my heart finally feels ready to be nourished.
Today, I choose to enjoy life to the absolute fullest, embracing whatever each moment brings. I accept who I truly am, and I accept others exactly as they are. Life is a breathtaking gift.

On my morning walks I repeat Gurumayi’s Message. As I say each line to myself, I slow myself down to see what arises, and something new, related to each line of the Message, always gets my attention.
Without fail, when I repeat this third line—”Recharge! Nourish your heart”—I smile and actually laugh a little. In this frame of happiness, I think about all I am grateful for—all the people and places and animals I love—and in doing so, without trying, I find that my heart is being completely nourished, preparing me for the next line in the Message.

How to “recharge”? If we wish to recharge a phone or laptop, we always connect the device with a current of electricity. For me recharge means to connect with the Self while doing any work. Recharge means becoming aware of the Self at any time, receiving energy from the Self.
How do I “recharge”? Through daily sadhana—a long, deep meditation, mantra japa, periods of silence, yearning for Self-realization, reading and contemplating the Guru’s words, and maintaining witness awareness.
Once I take time to connect with the inner light, the Self, with Shri Guru, automatically my heart receives nourishment.
How to check whether my heart has received nourishment? Once my heart experiences an abundance of happiness, contentment, and peace, that means my heart has received nourishment. For me, real nourishment of my heart occurs when my sense of limitations and dualism dissolves in the powerful light of Shri Gurumayi.

Life had been feeling a bit flat and dry lately. There are always challenges, but basically my life is very good.
Each morning I repeat Gurumayi’s Message. As I was repeating it this morning, I was following along with the guidance of each line. When I got to “Recharge! Nourish your heart,” I noticed that I was only going through a brief moment of feeling my heart. Oh! I realized that this was the effort that has been missing. I began to practice the third line throughout my day. Doing this has warmed up my heart and my life.
I am so grateful to Gurumayi for inviting us to spend time on each line of her Message in this way.

What “recharges” and “nourishes my heart” is silence. In silence I enjoy being with myself. I become like a peaceful lake, and this peace allows me to “recharge” my energy.

As I was simply sitting with the image of the third line of Gurumayi’s Message on the Siddha Yoga path website, this came up.
“Recharge! Nourish your heart”
is nourishing my heart;
the warmth of the orange color
gives trust, is opening,
makes me smile.
The steady golden flame,
the doorway leads to light.
A golden garden.
So sweet to wander.

When I read this line of Gurumayi’s Message for 2026 aloud, my voice takes on a different, much gentler tone. It feels as though I can relax, as if the Guru wants me to relax. I experience that I can let go of the drive to relentlessly do things and constantly get tasks done. Just hearing that gentleness in my own voice allows my body and mind to relax.

I have been trying various methods to find out how I can “nourish my heart.” For instance, I have been performing certain hatha yoga asanas that are helpful for opening the heart.
Through my attempts to discover how to “nourish my heart,” I have come to realize that there are different levels in attaining this goal. Through practicing hatha yoga, taking regular walks, and consistently doing a bit of exercise, I can keep my heart muscle fit. Through regular meditation, I can nourish my heart in a more subtle way. Even by doing routine things with a lot of love, I can nourish my heart. And when I combine all of this with mantra repetition, I can nourish my heart in a lasting way.

When I reflected on the third line of Gurumayi’s Message for 2026, “Recharge! Nourish your heart,” I felt invited to look gently at what I allow to fill my heart each day. Sometimes, the demands of life leave me feeling inwardly tired. In those moments, returning to meditation, repeating the mantra, and remembering Shri Guru are ways to help me reconnect with a deeper sense of peace. I feel my heart is nourished when I make room for devotion, gratitude, compassion, and love.
Contemplating Gurumayi’s words has helped me recognize that spiritual nourishment can begin in a simple moment of turning inward and remembering the grace that is always present. “Recharge!” reminds me to pause and restore my inner strength. “Nourish your heart” encourages me to care for the love and devotion that sustain my sadhana.
With this understanding, I wish to move through each day with greater tenderness toward myself and others, allowing Gurumayi’s teachings to guide my thoughts, words, and actions. May my heart remain open to grace, and may devotion continue to deepen within me.

I love this part of Gurumayi’s Message for 2026: “Recharge! Nourish your heart.” I “nourish my heart” by spending quality time with close friends and co-workers. I go for japa walks in nature, visit friends, and share a good meal with them. These are some of the precious ways that “nourish my heart.”

I feel so blessed in receiving the divine grace to listen to chants with Gurumayi that are available online through streaming every day! For me, this is the most uplifting way to “recharge” and “nourish my heart”!
